Best Roofing Materials for your next Roofing Projects in Florida

Looking for a new roof for your home? If you are from Mary Esther, Fort Walton Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, or Gulf Breeze, whether you are building new construction or simply upgrading an old roof or existing roof, it is important to choose the right construction materials and excellent rating-based roofers.

At the forefront of any roofing business construction project is choosing the right construction materials for either residential or commercial roofs. For most homeowners, this means selecting from a wide range of options in terms of roofing materials. CQ Roofing provides expertise on any roofing job and details to clients or homeowners regarding this matter. Some popular construction materials to consider include:

  • Asphalt shingle roof: These are the most commonly used construction material for residential roofs, due to their affordability and ease of installation. However, asphalt shingles do not last as long as other construction materials and may need to be replaced more frequently.
  • Metal roofs: Metal roof construction is a popular choice for homeowners looking for durable, long-lasting construction materials. However, metal roof construction can be more expensive than other options and may require specialized installation techniques.
  • Flat Roofs: A flat roof is a great option for homes with high winds since it can withstand strong gales. They are usually found on commercial roofing rather than residential ones. Durable material makes this type of construction ideal in areas where weathering and maintenance are important factors to consider when making your decision on what kind of materials should go into building the house itself – though there may be some exceptions depending upon its location.
  • Slate roofing: Slate construction is one of the oldest construction materials available and is renowned for its durability and aesthetic appeal. However, slate construction can be expensive and difficult to install, making it a less popular choice for many homeowners.

Mary Esther Florida gets its name

Mary Esther gets its name from its first postmaster, John Newton, who named it for his daughters.

That first post office in Mary Esther opened on October 10, 1871, under the administration of John Newton, a minister, and schoolteacher who had settled in the area west of Fort Walton Beach known as the Narrows today known as Mary Esther. John Newton was also responsible for establishing the community’s first school, which also served as a church during the Civil War.
